OntoBroker 7 is now commercially available. semafora’s enterprise ObjectLogic reasoner brings active ontologies and explainable decisions to a Java 21 runtime, with secure integration, protected knowledge and modern operational tooling.
Explicit knowledge for explainable decisions
OntoBroker 7 represents enterprise knowledge as governed facts, relationships, constraints and higher-order rules. Applications can derive repeatable conclusions, inspect rule dependencies and validate proposed actions against explicit domain knowledge. This provides a reasoning foundation for active ontologies and hybrid AI workflows.
Secure integration and protected knowledge
The secure Java 21 client uses mutual TLS and certificate-governed authorization. Access can be scoped to permitted queries, commands and ontology modules. Supported relational access and bounded REST/JSON and SOAP/WSDL connectors connect reasoning to enterprise workflows, while connector credentials remain in an external encrypted secret store.
OntoBroker 7 uses signed Ed25519 licences and supports AES-256-GCM protection for stored modules and snapshots, with externally managed keys.
Modern deployment and operations
Supported operational profiles include in-memory operation and embedded H2 persistence. An optional managed external Solr 9 service adds ObjectLogic full-text search, autocomplete and bounded facets. The Java 21 Administration Console, secure remote client and documented backup and migration procedures support controlled production operations.

OntoBroker 7 is available for commercial licensing. It requires Java 21 and an .oblicense file issued for OntoBroker 7. Consult the documentation and support matrix supplied with your release package for installation requirements and the supported deployment profile.
